We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as the Head of Claims for the Czech Republic. This role is integral to ensuring efficient, accurate, and compliant claims processing while fostering collaboration across the business. As the Head of Claims, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire claims department, managing both consumer and commercial claims, and leading a high-performing team. You will also have the opportunity to work closely with colleagues across the Central European region and contribute to the strategic development of the claims function.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Management and Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and develop the claims team in the Czech Republic.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performing environment.
- Conduct regular team and one-to-one meetings, providing training and guidance on best practices.
- Implement proactive solutions for process improvements and identify areas for growth.
- Claims Handling:
- Oversee the accurate handling of both consumer and commercial claims.
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements and company policies.
- Support claims adjusters with complex claims and provide final decision-making authority on claims investigations.
- Foster autonomy within the team, empowering them to take initiative in claims management.
- Data Analysis, Reporting, and Budget Management:
- Utilize data to improve claims processing efficiency.
- Collaborate with commercial, actuarial, finance, and data teams to support business objectives.
- Manage the department’s budget and contribute to the company’s strategic planning.
- Customer Service:
- Ensure excellent customer service and stakeholder satisfaction.
- Ensure prompt and efficient service delivery to all clients and partners.
Requirements:
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- In-depth knowledge of claims processes, insurance contracts, and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to develop and implement effective policies and procedures.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting, with a technology-savvy mindset.

- Fluency in English (both written and spoken).
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years in a senior claims management role within the insurance industry.
- Education: Strong knowledge of claims handling policies, reinsurance, coinsurance, and serious loss management.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant digital tools
